CrossFit and the our CrossFit program is designed to be scalable and applicable to any individual regardless of age or fitness level. We vary the load and intensity starting the beginner at the level appropriate to their fitness and experience. With our commitment to you and your hard work you will achieve a greater level of general fitness and health. Our old school approach that focuses on fundamental, functional movements with correct technique ensures that you can progress. You will learn and get fit with our ever-changing workouts that combine bodyweight exercises, weightlifting, and a huge variety of high-intensity drills that combine cardio and strength challenges at the appropriate level for each person. The stimulus provided is always varied and the results are dramatic. The atmosphere is one of support and camaraderie to anyone willing to put in the work.
How we are different
CrossFit Hawkes Bay is not your ordinary gym. We do not have any machines, in fact we have very little equipment that you might see at you standard gym. We believe in training for life and not one specific thing. Training for life means that we have to be prepared for the unknown and even unknowable. Our workouts involve exercises that mimic everyday movements so that you can become stronger and more efficient in day to day activities.
So our training is against the norm of isolation movements with prescribed cardio exercises. Our workouts are fun, functional and fast. Workouts are most often completed within group classes. This provides you with the attention from the trainer that is necessary for your safety and success along with motivation with the group. You will be challenged both mentally and physically in your workouts but will find a great sense of camaraderie with those you are working with.
Many friendships are formed in CrossFit. We are not just a gym we are a community focused on getting the most out of life.
